Readers and Panels

Proximity cards or key tags can identify individuals and allow access and egress to a pre-defined area by simply scanning the access card in front of the proximity card reader.

The proximity card reader then analyzes the data stored in the access cards and determines whether the user has authorized entry based on access level, date and/or time. The reader then stores the information and records the activity for future reference or reports. This type of system can monitor individuals’ access, protect employees and provide full activity reports. This type of unit can be IP addressable on a network and utilize power over Ethernet if required.

Multiple readers can be networked to provide coverage of any number of lanes at a given site. The reader system may be configured for customized operation by a combination of externally accessible hardware jumpers and menu-driven software settings.
